We are currently recruiting for a General Catering Assistant to join our team at one of our workplace restaurants in Cambridge SG8.

This is a full time position working, Monday to Friday, 7am to 3pm, 37.5 hours week. 

As a General Catering Assistant, you will support the preparation and service of a variety of fresh food items including hot meals, salads, soups, desserts, and grab & go options for up to 200 people daily. You’ll assist with the delivery of hospitality catering across office areas, ensuring professional and timely service. The role also involves maintaining high standards of cleanliness through regular kitchen and service area cleaning, supporting stock rotation, and adhering to food safety and health & safety procedures. Working as part of a friendly and efficient team, you'll help ensure a smooth daily operation and a positive experience for all staff.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Have experience working in a similar role and environment
• Be highly organised and comfortable working in a high-pressured environment
• Ensure you have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety
• Keep up standards of hygiene and ensure all areas are clean and tidy
• Have excellent customer service and social skills
• Be responsible for the preparation and serving of food to staff
• Have a can do attitude and will work well as part of a team of 5
• Be customer focused
• Have basic food knowledge
• Be willing to participate and enjoy working part of the team
