9We are currently recruiting for a General Assistant to join our team at one of our independent schools in DN9 3GG.

This role is offered on a casual/zero-hours basis. During term time, you will assist with food preparation and general kitchen duties. You will also support sports fixtures and other school events throughout the academic year.

Please note that access to a car is essential for this role, as public transport links in the area are limited.

Employment in this role will be subject to a satisfactory DBS check.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• No experience required
• Be highly organised and comfortable working in a high-pressured environment
• Ensure you have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety
• Keep up standards of hygiene and ensure all areas are clean and tidy
• Have excellent customer service and social skills
• Be responsible for the preparation and serving of food to staff and students
• Have a can do attitude and will work well as part of a team of 9
• Be customer focused
• Have basic food knowledge
• Be willing to participate and enjoy working part of the team
