We are currently recruiting for a Casual Chef to join our team at one of our conference venues in Oxford OX1 3RG.
Please note that this is a zero-hour contract. This busy venue operates 7 days a week between 6am and midnight. You will work on a rota basis, as per the business needs.
Wilson Vale is an established, quality-led contract caterer. We work with amazing clients across the UK who place huge value on great food as a key part of their culture and community. We work in office restaurants, independent schools and at conference venues with the same high-end ethos throughout.
We are a fresh, food-led operation open seven days a week, catering for up to 200 guests daily. You will assist in delivering exceptional service across breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as a range of hospitality events including fine dining, BBQs, weddings, and canapé receptions. We take great pride in the high quality of our offering and the standards we maintain. You should be comfortable preparing a variety of cuisines and be up to date with current food trends, such as bowl and street food. All dishes are cooked from scratch using the freshest ingredients, giving you the opportunity to showcase your culinary skills.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Have experience working in a similar role and environment
Be highly organised and comfortable working in a high-pressured environment
Ensure you have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety
Keep up standards of hygiene and ensure all areas are clean and tidy
Have excellent customer service and social skills
Be responsible for the preparation and serving of food to staff
Have a can do attitude and will work well as part of a team
Be customer focused
Have basic food knowledge
Be willing to participate and enjoy working part of the team
